Author Charges / Publication Fees

In an academic landscape often marked by administrative and financial barriers, Journal of Financial and Monetary Economics (JFME) takes on the mission of supporting authentic research. We believe that epistemic value and intellectual effervescence should not be limited by material constraints.

That is why our journal operates on the principle of Open Access, completely eliminating any processing or publication fees for authors. Dedicate your resources and energy to the actual research; we ensure that your ideas reach the global scientific community. Thus, JFME does not charge authors any fees. There are no submission fees. There are no editorial processing charges. There are no article processing charges (APCs). There are no page charges. There are no color charges. There are no publication fees. There are no handling fees. There are no withdrawal fees. Because the journal has no author charges, no waiver policy is necessary.

Pillars of our editorial policy

  • Zero fees throughout the flow (No Fees): JFME does not charge costs for the initial evaluation (submission fees), editing or publishing of manuscripts. There are no page charges, color charges, or other mandatory fees for authors. The editorial process is completely free for authors.
  • Rigorous peer-review: The absence of fees guarantees an unbiased selection. Each text undergoes a strict double-blind peer review process, ensuring the validity and academic prestige of the articles.
  • Global visibility through Open Access: Accepted articles are published in digital format and become immediately accessible to researchers and students around the world, eliminating payment barriers and maximizing the impact of citations.
  • Copyright protected: Authors retain full intellectual property, with materials being distributed under licenses that allow the free circulation of knowledge in compliance with the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license.
